Jesus is Alive Today

Tears don’t even fall at the sight of the reality before me.
I gasp and just stand and stare helplessly.
The rubble is all around in piles.
How can I even find the strength to want to go on?
Jesus is alive today,
in the midst of such despair.
Even here where all is lost.
He loved us so much, He gave up his own life.
His hands and feet, nailed to the cross, his blood flowing down
and He hung there like that, and let it all happen to him.
And the people thought,
“Even the Son of God will die, and that’s the end?”
Jesus is alive today,
on the other side of death’s darkness
Even here where it is all finished.
Jesus is the resurrection, Jesus is life.
Anyone who believes in Him will not die but have life.
